The company is looking for highly motivated and dedicated Design interns to join our team this summer. The goal for the internship is to gain a deeper understanding of the industry and design/production process by being a part of the CR design team, actively participating in both digital and hands-on tasks. The internship must be exchanged for school credit. The job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Researching fabrics and materials
Providing support in design and production fittings
Putting together tech-packs
Assisting designers in making in-house samples (pattern-making, cutting, finishing)
Creating artwork
Applicant requirements:
Must be a current student working toward a degree, or a recent graduate with a background in fashion design
Must be able to commit at least 16 hours/week (2 or 3 full days preferred)
Be very organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Be willing to learn and take direction
Have knowledge in garment construction, pattern-making, draping, and sewing
Have knowledge of a wide range of fabrics
Knowledge in Illustrator and Photoshop is a plus.
