About the Role
At Ownley, the sister brand to Hansen & Gretel, we’re on the lookout for a passionate Fashion Designer to join our team in Rosebery, NSW. This is a full-time position, where you will play a key role in shaping our contemporary and effortless collections.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Conceptualise and create original designs that reflect Ownley's unique aesthetic and market position.
- Develop detailed technical specifications, patterns, and samples for production.
- Stay current with industry trends to keep our brand fresh and relevant.
- Collaborate with merchandising, marketing, and production teams to ensure cohesive collection development.
- Contribute to the brand’s overarching design strategy.
- Attend fittings, trade shows, and industry events to gather inspiration and insights.
What We’re Looking For
- A degree or diploma in Fashion Design or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Fashion Designer.
- Strong technical skills in garment construction and textiles.
- Proficiency in sketching, illustration, and CAD software.
- A creative eye for trends and a strong sense of aesthetic.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across departments.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
