Salary £35,000-45,000 DOE

A leading fashion supplier is looking for a talented Womenswear Outerwear Designer to join their team, focusing on casual outerwear for a leading high street supermarket brand. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to seasonal collections that reflect current trends and meet commercial market demands.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create and develop original outerwear designs, from initial concept to detailed sketches, technical drawings, and tech packs.
• Collaborate with Far East factories to ensure smooth product development and timely delivery.
• Fabric and trim selection to ensure both visual appeal and functional quality.
• Work closely with account managers and product development teams to finalise collections and present to clients.
• Produce comprehensive tech packs with precise specifications to guide production.
• Oversee the sample process to ensure designs are executed accurately.
• Take part in fit sessions, making necessary design adjustments to meet fit and quality standards.
• Monitor sample quality and work alongside QC teams to resolve any issues effectively.
Requirements:
• A degree in Fashion Design or a related discipline.
• Proven experience designing casual outerwear, with a solid understanding of garment construction and technical knowledge.
• Background working with high street fashion retailers.
• Strong skills in creating tech packs and managing offshore production processes.
