Role Description

This is a volunteer, remote role for a Black Fashion History Instructor. The instructor will lead virtual classes for the Black Fashion History course in early June 2026, supporting students as they explore the historical, cultural, and industry impact of Black fashion creatives.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping emerging Black fashion creatives connect fashion history to their own creative development, career interests, and industry understanding.

Qualifications

  • Experience in fashion, history, education, cultural studies, or a related creative field
  • Strong knowledge of Black fashion history, fashion studies, or related areas
  • Comfortable leading virtual classes and engaging students in thoughtful discussion
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills
  • Interest in supporting emerging Black creatives as they explore fashion history, identity, and industry pathways

This is a fully remote volunteer opportunity.
