Fashion Intern at Coterie NY Jobs in New York, NY at BRIDGE SHOWROOM

Title: Fashion Intern at Coterie NY

Company: BRIDGE SHOWROOM

Location: New York, NY

TRADE SHOW INTERN Bridge Showroom:

Coterie, New York, September 8-11, Flexible Shifts (3–8 hours/day)

See how European designer collections actually get sold, in the room where buyers and brands make it happen.

Most fashion students study wholesale theory in classrooms. You’ll experience it on the trade show floor.

Bridge Showroom is a multi-brand agency representing premium European womenswear designers across the US, working with independent boutiques, specialty retailers, and department stores to bring these collections into the US market. Every season, we work the top regional trade shows where buyers come to discover new collections and place orders. This internship puts you directly in that world.

What You’ll Learn:

  • How fashion brands sell collections to retailers
  • The wholesale side of the fashion industry
  • Trade show sales and buyer interactions
  • Visual merchandising and showroom presentation
  • Event operations and logistics
  • Professional networking within the fashion industry

What You’ll Actually Do:

Merchandising & Visual Storytelling: You’ll learn that hanging clothes isn’t just organization, it’s strategy. You’ll help prepare and style the booth, steaming and hanging samples, and understanding how placement and flow guide a buyer’s eye through a collection.

Booth Operations: You’ll help set up and break down the booth, track orders, manage schedules, handle marketing materials, and keep everything organized and presentation-ready throughout the show.

Client Interaction: You’ll welcome visitors, direct buyers to our sales representatives, and support the team on the floor. You won’t be doing the selling, but you’ll be part of the conversation, learning how it’s done.

Real Industry Exposure: You’ll network with designers, brand representatives, boutique owners, and buyers, the people actually running the wholesale fashion business.

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

  • Is genuinely motivated and passionate about fashion, this is a real learning opportunity, not just free labor
  • Is dependable, punctual, and professional
  • Is proactive and willing to learn, asks questions, notices what needs doing, and helps wherever needed
  • Is comfortable with physical tasks: steaming garments, moving sample racks, setting up displays
  • Enjoys interacting with people and can communicate professionally, even without being an extrovert
  • Has strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Can stay focused and energetic in a fast-paced event environment

What You Get Out of It:

  • Direct insight into B2B fashion and how trade shows drive the industry
  • Mentorship from our experienced team throughout the show
  • Hands-on experience with European designer collections and professional merchandising
  • Real networking in the wholesale fashion space
  • A strong reference and something genuinely meaningful for your resume and portfolio
  • Clarity on whether wholesale, buying, or merchandising is your career direction
