Responsibilities

• Research local St. Pete/Tampa Bay influencers, creators, stylists, and community partners
• Help build outreach lists for influencers, events, pop-ups, and brand collaborations
• Draft friendly DM/email pitches that sound on-brand for Canvas
• Track gifting, try-ons, reposts, and collaboration follow-ups
• Brainstorm local marketing ideas to bring more people into Canvas
• Help connect Canvas with hotels, salons, fitness studios, photographers, events, and local organizations

Weekly Deliverables

• Updated outreach tracker
• 5–10 new local influencer or partnership leads
• Drafted DM/email templates
• Follow-up updates from outreach
• New collaboration or community marketing ideas

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a relevant program such as Marketing, Communications, Fashion Merchandising, Public Relations, Digital Media, or a related field
• Passion for fashion, social media, boutique retail, and building a strong local brand presence
• Comfortable using Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite for simple graphics, content layouts, and visual branding
• Familiar with Instagram, TikTok, and current social media trends
• Strong writing skills with the ability to draft captions, emails, DMs, and outreach messages in a warm, professional, on-brand voice
• Organized and detail-oriented, especially when tracking outreach, influencer gifting, event details, and weekly projects
• Basic understanding of social media marketing, content planning, engagement, and brand consistency
• Comfortable researching local influencers, community partners, events, and collaboration opportunities
• Able to manage multiple tasks at once while staying positive, proactive, and willing to learn
• Must be excited to help grow Canvas Fashion Gallery as a go-to boutique in St. Pete

This paid internship is designed to give aspiring fashion marketers hands-on experience in a real boutique environment. At Canvas, you’ll get to be part of the creative process, help with real marketing projects, learn how a fashion business runs behind the scenes, and gain experience in social media, events, influencer outreach, and community-based brand building. We’re looking for someone who is excited to learn, bring fresh ideas, and grow with us.

Pay: $15.00 per hour
