ABOUT US
W Studio is a Los Angeles based fashion studio specializing in editorial and digital photography and videography. Our objective is to provide clients with high quality photos and videos, allowing them to increase e-commerce traffic and ultimately establish brand consistency.
ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented and organized Studio Assistant to join our fast-paced production team! This role is ideal for someone with a passion for creative service, organization and behind-the-scenes production support.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with photographers, stylists, and models in a fast-paced, high-energy environment to support day-to-day studio operations to ensure seamless and efficient photoshoot execution.

This is a paid part-time position with potential to grow into a full-time role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations/ Admin
- Coordinate with model agencies to schedule model castings and confirm model availability
- Prepare and manage all model castings, ensuring casting photos, portfolios, and model records remain organized and up to date
- Scout new models through agency rosters, social media, and other industry resources
- Research and recruit hair and makeup artists through agency rosters, social media, and other industry resources to expand the studio’s creative roster
- Assist with creative concept development and pre-production planning for editorial photoshoots
- Research and scout locations that align with the creative vision and production requirements for editorial photoshoots
- Ensure all details are communicated clearly to relevant parties to support smooth and efficient shoot execution
- Assist on set during editorial photoshoots, ensuring the model and production team are supported throughout the shoot
- Support operational workflows under the guidance of the Operations Director
- Answer phone calls and respond to client inquiries in a professional and timely manner
Studio
- Prep and steam garments before shoots; ensure samples are organized and ready
- Clean, organize, and maintain studio and photoshoot area to enhance workflow before and after shoots
- Assist in setup/ breakdown for all photoshoots
- Pick up and drop off samples – Driver’s license required
- Organize and rename photo files
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in creative operations, production coordination, brand strategy, or a related field is preferred but not required (fashion, creative agency, or commercial production)
- Experience with fashion photography is preferred but not required
- Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to see both the big picture and executional details
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong understanding of aesthetics, brand positioning, and visual storytelling
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple moving projects in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a long-term growth perspective
- Must be based in Los Angeles and available for in-person work
