Are you a fashion lover with strong sewing skills and an eye for detail? ODI ICHE is a small but growing fashion brand based in Toronto, inspired by West African culture and rooted in craftsmanship, creativity, and culture. We’re looking for a passionate and reliable Freelance Seamstress or Garment Maker to help bring our designs to life.
This role is perfect for a fashion student, recent graduate, or freelance garment maker who wants to be part of a grassroots brand with big dreams—someone who’s excited to grow with us and contribute to something meaningful.
What You’ll Do:
• Collaborate with the Creative Director to bring design ideas to life
• Construct high-quality garment samples based on sketches and concepts
• Assist with small batch production (made-to-order or limited runs)
• Provide input on garment construction and pattern development (if applicable)
• Maintain attention to detail, quality, and craftsmanship
What We’re Looking For:
• Strong sewing and garment construction skills
• Ability to work from sketches and create or interpret basic patterns
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
• Passion for fashion and handmade clothing
• Interest in African-inspired fashion and aesthetics is a big plus!
• Must be based in Toronto or nearby (in-person collaboration is important)
