Join our dynamic and energetic team dedicated to empowering adults with developmental disabilities through a vibrant fashion show production experience!
This paid, temporary contract allows you to combine creativity, event planning, and compassionate care while helping produce a memorable runway event that celebrates individuality, promotes confidence, and fosters community engagement.
As a key member of our production team, you will help create an inclusive environment where participants feel supported, valued, and empowered to shine.
EVENT DETAILS & PURPOSE
- Fashion Show Date: June 25, 2026
- This event will feature auctioned items, community donations, and fundraising efforts
- All proceeds will go toward supporting families impacted by the Eaton Fire
This is more than just an event—it’s an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the community.
OPEN POSITIONS1. Fashion Show Wardrobe & Production Manager
- Manage all outfits, sizes, fittings, and ordering
- Assign roles (celebrity, family, couples)
- Ensure all participants are show-ready
2. Stage Manager (Runway / Event Flow)
- Run the show on event day
- Control timing, lineup, and transitions
- Coordinate with host, DJ, and backstage team
3. Backstage & Participant Coordinator
- Organize participants backstage
- Manage lineup and quick changes
- Ensure smooth movement throughout the show
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Collaborate with participants, caregivers, and staff to plan and coordinate all aspects of the fashion show
- Assist with wardrobe selection, fittings, and styling to ensure confidence on stage
- Manage event setup and breakdown (stage, seating, lighting, sound)
- Support rehearsals and live event execution, ensuring smooth transitions
- Maintain clear communication across team members, participants, and volunteers
- Ensure safety protocols are followed, including assisting with mobility or ADLs as needed
- Document progress and gather feedback to improve future events
DETAILS
- Contract roles (60–90 days)
- Part-time (10–30 hours/week depending on role)
- Inland Empire (on-site required for rehearsals and event)
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Organized, reliable, and proactive
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience in event planning, fashion, or production (preferred)
- Compassionate and patient, with a passion for working with individuals with disabilities
- Ability to manage multiple moving parts in a fast-paced environment
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Background in event planning and coordination
- Experience in assisted living, memory care, or community-based programs
- Knowledge of recreational therapy or working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Experience assisting with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living)
- Strong scheduling and problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with home & community care environments is a plus
