Role Description This is an on-site internship role based in Atlanta, GA. The Fashion Design Intern will support the design team in developing seasonal collections through sketching concepts, assisting with pattern development, and preparing technical flats. Daily tasks may include fabric and trim sourcing, organizing mood boards and inspiration materials, creating samples, and assisting with fittings and garment adjustments. The intern will help maintain the studio, track samples, and contribute to styling and presentation for lookbooks, social media, and brand events. This role offers hands-on experience in a fashion studio environment and exposure to the full design process from concept to finished garment.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundational skills in fashion design, including sketching, garment construction basics, and an understanding of silhouettes and fit.
  • Proficiency with design tools such as Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop or similar software for flats, mood boards, and visual presentations.
  • Basic patternmaking and sewing skills, with the ability to assist in sample development and alterations.
  • Knowledge of fabrics, trims, and materials, and interest in sourcing and experimentation with textures and shapes.
  • Attention to detail in measurements, documentation, and quality checking of samples and finished pieces.
  • Strong visual sense aligned with futuristic, sensual, and minimalist aesthetics, and openness to exploring new design directions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a studio setting, take feedback constructively, and manage time in a fast-paced environment.
  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a fashion design or related program is preferred, but not mandatory.
