We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller (Director Level) to lead our financial strategy and operations. This role, based in Los Angeles, is essential in managing our cross-border financial activities and governance as we continue to scale internationally. The ideal candidate will have experience handling multinational financial operations, overseeing financial reporting, banking relationships, audits, and a finance team across multiple locations. A background in retail, e-commerce, or luxury goods is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
1、Global Financial Strategy & Governance – Develop and implement a strong financial framework across all regions (US, Japan, China).
2、Financial Reporting & Analysis – Lead financial reporting, presenting monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to the executive team and board.
3、Cross-Border Finance Management – Oversee and streamline financial operations across Los Angeles, Osaka, and Shanghai, ensuring compliance with international regulations.
4、Banking & Investor Relations – Manage commercial banking relationships, foreign exchange transactions, and international financial institutions.
5、Audit & Compliance – Coordinate and work with external auditors on annual financial statements and audits.
6、Finance Team Leadership – Build, mentor, and develop a multinational finance team, fostering a culture of financial excellence.
7、Budgeting & Forecasting – Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting, providing key insights to guide executive decision-making.
8、Cost Control & Optimization – Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost-saving and financial efficiency across all regions.
Qualifications:
✅ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent preferred).
✅ 7+ years of financial leadership experience, with expertise in multinational finance and cross-border operations.
✅ Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (GAAP, IFRS) and corporate financial strategy.
✅ Experience in retail, e-commerce, or luxury goods industries is highly preferred.
✅ Proven track record in managing multinational banking relationships, foreign exchange, and financial governance.
✅ Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and manage a high-performing finance team.
✅ Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with executive leadership, board members, and international teams.
