Finished Goods Buyer

Pay Grade: 10-E Manager/Mid-Level Support
Pay Range:$46,000- $58,000
Job Summary:
The Finished Goods Buyer will conduct the purchasing and procurement of finished goods at Thistle Farms and support the procurement of raw goods, apparel, and finished goods with the Procurement Manager. This position is responsible for sourcing and purchasing from all Global Shared Trade vendors and maintaining up-to-date data on purchasing in internal systems. This person will report to the Procurement Manager to meet sales objectives that promote our Shared Trade Partners and complement our internal line of body & home and apparel products.
This position will collaborate regularly with the Global Shared Trade team to communicate updates regarding partner needs, challenges, and successes. This includes market readiness needs, significant events impacting partner enterprises, and noted changes with partner communication.
This position will also work closely with the Inventory Management team to ensure product quantities, quality, and note changes in partner products.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Manage processes and procedures for purchasing, as well as implement new SOPs
Research, source, and select global and lifestyle products for all Thistle Farms sales channels in coordination with marketing and product specialist
Assist with monthly inventory count across all inventory categories.
Maintain purchasing strategy based on supply and demand, customer feedback, and
global initiatives.
Coordinate with inventory team to prioritize and prepare for incoming shipments
Report invoices to the appropriate department and/or supervisor after orders have been placed
Price all products within margin guidelines and ensure all systems are updated to reflect changes
Liaising with existing suppliers and negotiating contracts
Maintain familiarity with past product and past sales patterns to anticipate trends in consumer buying
Responsible for internal system updates including product creation and management within inventory management systems
Work in coordination with the marketing team to ensure product arrives prior to photoshoots and marketing campaigns.
Communicate inventory changes and flow with Product Specialist
Coordinate with the Product Specialist to create recommendations based on price points and inventory across Thistle Farms sales channels
Assist with inventory flow and allocation to multiple sales channels
Communicate information from confirmed product orders to Product Specialist
Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Qualifications:
Retail sales experience is preferred.
Retail buying experience required
Interest in current product trends with an ability to identify products that will appeal to the Thistle Farms customer demographic.
Interest in global politics and development.
Ability to quickly learn inventory management systems; experience w/ Shopify, Skubana, StockIQ, and Topshelf are preferred
High proficiency in Microsoft Suite
Creativity and interest in product development
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Self-motivated and able to foresee tasks that may not be listed but need to be done
