Summary:The Fulltime Fit Model has an integral role in the product development process, commenting on garments and materials with regards to fit, movement, and feel of the product. The Fit Model will collaborate with the Product Development and Design teams to check the fit, drape and look to maintain the design intent. this role repots to the SeniorDirector, Product Development.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Maintain consistent measurements (within tolerance – see below requirements)
Provide valuable feedback on the fit, movement and feel within each division (RTW Collection, Denim, Knits)
Work with the product and technical design teams to understand the desired styling and fit intent of each style
Provide constructive feedback to ensure garments wear well and meet fit, quality, comfort and aesthetic standards
Attend pre-fits, Proto reviews, post-fits, SMS reviews and any other scheduled fit sessions in-house
Available to sit in on sketch and concept review
Participate in post line reviews and line edits
Develop an understanding of key fit issues and work with design teams to streamline resolutions
Maintain your own fit calendar and callout scheduling conflicts early on to try and accommodate everyone’s fit needs
Easily identify more efficient solutions to fit issues and concerns
Analyze problems and secure answers that improve fit and comfort for our customers
Help the design team in the development of sketches by trying on inspiration and spending time while they drape to create new styles
Work closely with the design team and technical design to embody the fit intent of each silhouette’
Position Requirements:
Women’s US size 2 – Small
Height: 5’ 10” – 5’ 11”
Bust: 32”
Under Bust: 27”
Waist: 25”
High Hip: 33 ¼”
Low Hip: 35”
Reliable, hardworking, professional with good communications skills
Comfortable standing for extended periods of time in front of large groups
Comfortable having fit pictures taken to be included in design tech packs
High sense of urgency and punctuality
Previous fit model experience required
Solid technical and garment construction knowledge
Work in office 5 days a week

In compliance with the New York City salary transparency requirements, the potential salary range for this position is from $130,000 to $140,000, which represents a range commensurate with experience, knowledge, and skills required.
