About Us

Y2K Vintage is one of the UK’s leading vintage retailers, specialising in hand-picked fashion from the late 90s and early 2000s. Our founding store on Brick Lane is one of our busiest stores, welcoming hundreds of customers every week. We’re looking for an energetic, confident and commercially aware Floor Manager to help lead the shop floor and maintain the high standards our customers expect.

This isn’t a role where you’ll spend your day behind a desk. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment, leads from the front and isn’t afraid to roll their sleeves up. You’ll be responsible for keeping the shop floor running smoothly, motivating the team, reacting quickly to the demands of the day and ensuring every customer has a great experience.

The Role

As Floor Manager, you’ll be one of the key leaders within the store, taking ownership of the shop floor throughout your shifts. You’ll support the management team by driving standards, coaching the team in real time and ensuring the store remains organised, commercially strong and customer-focused.

You’ll be trusted to make decisions, solve problems as they arise and maintain a positive, productive atmosphere even during our busiest trading periods.

  • Lead the shop floor throughout the day, setting the standard for customer service, urgency and team performance.
  • Motivate, coach and support the team to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

  • Keep customer areas clean, organised and fully shoppable.
  • Identify operational issues quickly and take appropriate action.
  • Support stock loss prevention by ensuring store procedures are consistently followed.

  • Maintain excellent visual merchandising standards across the store.
  • React daily to customer behaviour, sales trends and stock levels to keep the shop looking fresh and commercial.
  • Support the team in understanding product placement, best sellers and customer flow.
  • Ensure rails, displays, mannequins and feature areas remain impactful throughout the day.

Customer Experience

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and lead by example on the shop floor.
  • Support customers with styling advice and product knowledge where required.
  • Confidently resolve customer queries and complaints.

  • Help onboard and train new starters.
  • Encourage accountability, urgency and strong retail standards across the team.
  • Identify opportunities to develop individuals and share feedback with the management team.
