TITLE: Freelance Merchandising Manager – Ralph Lauren Division

SALARY RANGE: $50-$60 per hour

REPORTS TO: Managing Director, Ralph Lauren Division

FUNCTION: Responsible for bookings analysis and preparation of line plans that will drive the division to meet its business goals. Will assist in product costing to assure divisional margin targets are met and that proper price/ value is established. Brands included are Polo Men’s, Polo Women’s, RLX and Lauren. This role will also involve crafting of presentations for seasonal strategies to our licensing partners.

WEEKLY REQUIREMENTS:

15 hours per week

One in person day each week at NY Office

Flexible on the balance of the hours for the week.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform seasonal analysis of bookings performance and assessment of sell throughs at retail to be used for forward line planning.

Assist in the creation of Seasonal line plans for all RL brands.

Participate in crafting of seasonal strategy decks.

Conduct market research and competitive analysis for our soft accessories product categories.

Work with PD Manager to negotiate surcharges/ cost shifts in order to meet margin targets while satisfying customer needs.

Collaboratively work with PD Manager and Director to establish best WS/MSRP pricing structure to hit margin goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Exceptional analytical and planning skills.

Passion for excellence in product execution

Exceptional ability to collaborate and prioritize

3+ years of experience in Merchandise Planning or Product Development.

4-year college degree or equivalent

Strong Excel (pivot tables/ Vlook up) and Power Point skills. Proficiency in working within a PLM system.
