About the Role

This is an operational mandate for a sourcing professional to manage high-volume garment production. Unlike traditional merchandising, this role focuses on factory-side sourcing, capacity planning, and large-scale output management. You will be responsible for managing multiple CM (Cut-to-Make) garmenters simultaneously to ensure a seamless supply of at least 1 lakh pieces per month.

Key Responsibilities

  • Production & Factory Management
  • Simultaneously manage and oversee operations across 5–6 dedicated garment factories (CM vendors).
  • Ensure a consistent production scale of at least 1 lakh pieces per month to meet aggressive growth targets.
  • Monitor daily line-outputs and factory capacity to ensure weekly targets are met within agreed TAT.

  • Sourcing Operations
  • Execute PO placement with agreed commercial terms and manage the share of business across vendors.
  • Coordinate with Warehouse and Finance teams for timely receipt of goods and vendor payments.
  • Maintain strict accounting for rejected items and ensure timely returns to suppliers.
  • Perform regular ledger reconciliations and obtain NDCs from suppliers.

  • Quality & Process Control
  • Partner with the QC team to provide timely vendor approvals and implement corrective actions (CAPA) for quality deviations.
  • Ensure all SOPs regarding fabric approval and production flows are followed without deviation.

  • Vendor Development
  • Identify and evaluate new high-capacity vendors to support future scaling.
  • Collaborate with existing vendors to drive continuous improvement in quality and cost optimization.

Key skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of core experience specifically in Garment Sourcing.
  • Proven track record of handling a production scale of at least 1 lakh pieces per month.
  • Demonstrated experience managing 5–6 factories (CM garmenters) simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of garment construction and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel for production tracking and data management.
  • A problem-solver with a hunger for learning and the ability to thrive in a high-velocity startup environment.
