About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Head of E-Commerce to lead and scale our digital business across Marketplace and Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) channels. This role will be responsible for driving revenue growth, profitability, operational excellence, and strategic expansion initiatives while managing a team of approximately 25 professionals.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in e-commerce leadership, strong commercial acumen, expertise in marketplace management, D2C operations, financial planning, business development, and end-to-end P&L ownership

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and execute the overall e-commerce strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Drive sustainable revenue growth, profitability, and market share across all online channels.
  • Develop annual business plans, budgets, forecasts, and growth roadmaps.
  • Identify new business opportunities, categories, channels, and strategic partnerships to accelerate growth.

Marketplace Business Management

  • Lead and scale marketplace business across key e-commerce platforms.
  • Drive sales growth through assortment planning, pricing strategies, promotions, advertising, and content optimization.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with marketplace partners and account management teams.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, joint business plans, and growth initiatives.

Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) Business

  • Own and drive D2C business performance, including website sales, customer acquisition, retention, and conversion optimization.
  • Lead digital marketing initiatives across performance marketing, SEO, CRM, social commerce, affiliate marketing, and customer engagement.
  • Improve customer experience, website performance, merchandising, and conversion rates through data-driven insights.

P&L Ownership

  • Own the complete e-commerce P&L, including revenue, gross margins, operating expenses, and profitability.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and business reviews.
  • Monitor key business and financial metrics to ensure achievement of revenue and profit targets.
  • Drive efficient resource allocation and investment decisions to maximize returns.

Finance & Operations Management

  • Partner closely with Finance, Supply Chain, Technology, and Operations teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Oversee inventory planning, demand forecasting, fulfillment, logistics, and customer service performance.
  • Drive operational efficiency, cost optimization, and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with financial controls, governance policies, and operational standards.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of approximately 25 professionals across e-commerce, marketplace, marketing, operations, and analytics functions.
  • Establish clear goals, KPIs, and performance management frameworks.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Partnerships & Business Expansion

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with channel partners, agencies, vendors, technology partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams.
  • Lead strategic initiatives that support business expansion and long-term growth.

Analytics & Performance Management

  • Monitor and analyze business performance through dashboards, reports, and key metrics.
  • Utilize customer insights and market data to optimize sales, profitability, and customer acquisition.
  • Present business reviews, growth strategies, and performance updates to senior leadership.
