Graphic Designer, Fiesta Plush Toy Division – Hybrid in Vernon, CA
Do you have product design skills such as 3D product design, sketching, creative application and manipulation of art, final mechanical art, fabric and trim identification? Are you experienced with color theory? Are you savvy to toy industry trends, leading brands, products, and what’s emerging?
Duties/Responsibilities:
Visualize and create graphics, illustrations, logos, layouts and photos
Concept, sketch, design packaging /plush ideas
Develop product concepts through final design sheets, including full plush turn-a-round layouts and color calls
Layout creative presentations, and retail pitch decks
Collaborate with design manager and sales team to design and approve products
Coordinate product submissions for creative reviews and approvals with design team
Research initial seasonal and market trends
Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications
Experience/Qualifications:
Strong knowledge and interest of toy industry trends, leading brands, products, and what’s emerging
Bachelor’s Degree in related field (e.g. industrial design, toy design, fashion design, graphic design) or equivalent work experience
Knowledge in hardlines/softlines categories (e.g. raw materials, plastic, textiles, print, pattern, graphic composition, manufacturing)
Product design skills (e.g. 3D product design, sketching, creative application and manipulation of art, final mechanical art, fabric and trim identification)
Excellent Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Passion for toys and children’s products is essential to be effective in the role
Ability to occasionally travel to trade shows, etc.
