Job Overview:Babyshop is seeking a talented and creative Graphic Designer specializing in Kids Retail Products to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for designing and curating products for children, with a focus on jewelry, girls’ hair accessories and fashion bags, school bags and supplies, stationary, and a keen understanding of toy packaging design. The candidate should possess a strong sense of aesthetics, be proficient in interaction design, and have a scientific approach to designing packaging and selecting colors that resonate with the target audience.

Responsibilities:

Product Design and Curation:

Create visually appealing and age-appropriate designs for kids’ hair accessories , jewelry, girls’ fashion bags, school bags, and stationary.

Incorporate unique and innovative features into product designs, ensuring they align with market trends and customer preferences.

Toy Packaging Design:

Develop captivating and child-friendly packaging designs for toys, considering both visual appeal and functionality.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure packaging meets safety standards and regulations.

License Brands and Characters Management:

Design and manage products featuring licensed brands and characters, adhering to the latest style guides provided by licensors.

Develop engaging storylines for products such as BTS and Fashion Accessories, ensuring alignment with the brand’s narrative.

Stay updated on global trends and incorporate them into our collections.

Color Psychology and Selection:

Apply a scientific approach to color selection, considering the psychological impact of colors on children’s emotions and preferences.

Ensure that chosen colors align with the brand identity and appeal to the target demographic.

Interaction Design:

Develop interactive design elements for products, enhancing the overall user experience.

Collaborate with the user experience (UX) team to create designs that are not only visually appealing but also user-friendly.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with Buyers, cross-functional teams including e-commerce , marketing and visual merchandising to understand requirements and deliver cohesive designs.

Effectively communicate design concepts and ideas to internal stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Product Design, or a related field.

Proven experience in designing kids’ retail products, with a strong portfolio showcasing relevant work.

Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).

Prior work experience with a Licensee would be an advantage

Familiarity with industry trends and a keen eye for aesthetics.

Strong understanding of color theory, especially as it relates to children’s products.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to balance creativity with a scientific approach to meet business goals.
