Chaberton Professionals, a division of Chaberton Partners specialized in the search and selection of Middle and Top Management profiles, is looking for a Group Buyer on behalf of our client, a company operating in Luxury Lifestyle Services.
Role Description
The Buyer will report directly to the Ownership and will be responsible for scouting, sourcing and purchasing high‑quality and luxury materials, products and services across the Group’s businesses.
This role is highly strategic and operational, requiring exceptional taste, supplier intelligence and negotiating skills, as well as the ability to perform in fast‑paced, high‑pressure and high‑expectation environments. The Buyer will act as a trusted partner to the Ownership, translating vision and aesthetic standards into concrete purchasing decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Sourcing & Scouting
- Identify, scout and develop relationships with top‑tier suppliers and artisans of premium and luxury materials, products and services
- Detect trends and innovations relevant to luxury hospitality, skincare, lifestyle and agricultural excellence
- Continuously expand and refine the supplier network, both locally and internationally
Buying & Negotiation
- Manage purchasing activities across different business units, ensuring alignment with brand standards and Ownership’s taste
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, lead times and exclusivity agreements while maintaining high quality standards
- Ensure consistency, reliability and excellence in all purchased goods and services
Quality, Standards & Alignment
- Guarantee that all sourcing decisions reflect the aesthetic, qualitative and experiential standards of the Group
- Act as guardian of quality, craftsmanship and luxury perception across categories
- Work closely with internal stakeholders (operations, hospitality teams, brand teams) to understand functional and experiential needs
Ownership Relationship & Governance
- Provide market insights, supplier recommendations and cost/quality trade‑off analyses
- Ensure transparency, rigor and discretion in all purchasing activities
Requirements:
- Proven experience as Buyer, Senior Buyer or in luxury, hospitality, high‑end retail, fashion, design or premium FMCG environments
- Strong preference for backgrounds in high‑demanding, fast‑moving, high‑pressure contexts
- Exceptional taste, aesthetic sensitivity and attention to detail
- Solid negotiation skills combined with a relationship‑driven approach
- Comfortable working closely with entrepreneurs / ownership in a non‑bureaucratic setting
- International exposure and supplier scouting experience considered a strong plus
- English knowledge mandatory
