Overview:
We are seeking a growth minded and motivated Assistant to join our team. As an Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our salon. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about the beauty industry and looking to grow their career. We specialize in handtied extensions and color . Our goal is to train you and get you working behind the chair ASAP !
Responsibilities:
– Assist with salon operations, including scheduling appointments, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace
-Assist and learn from stylists, bring in models.
– Provide exceptional customer service by greeting clients, answering inquiries, and ensuring their needs are met.
– Utilize salon software (such as Vagaro and Square) .
– Assist with store management tasks, including opening and closing procedures
– Stay updated on the latest industry trends and techniques through continuous learning and training
– Mentor junior staff members to improve their skills and knowledge
– Demonstrate proficiency in color theory and provide color consultations to clients
– Safely handle tools and equipment, including straight razors
Requirements:
– Previous experience in a salon or beauty-related setting is preferred
– Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients
– Ability to “read a room” and act professional in a high end environment.
-Be open to feedback .
– Familiarity with color theory and the ability to provide color consultations
– Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
– Strong organizational skills to manage inventory and maintain a clean workspace
– Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with team members and clients
