Responsibilities: – Perform various hair braiding techniques, including but not limited to cornrows, box braids, twists, and braided updos. – Provide excellent customer service and ensure client satisfaction. – Stay up-to-date with the latest hair braiding trends and techniques. – Maintain a clean and organized work area. – Assist with store management tasks, such as inventory management and scheduling appointments. – Offer additional services such as eyelash extensions, nail care, and hair extensions if qualified. – Mentor and train junior stylists in hair braiding techniques. – Handle front desk duties, including greeting clients, answering phone calls, and scheduling appointments. – Utilize salon software to manage client records and appointments. Qualifications: – Proven experience in hair styling and braiding techniques. – Knowledge of different hair types and textures. – Strong communication and customer service skills. – Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. – Familiarity with salon software for appointment scheduling and record keeping is a plus. – Experience with other beauty services such as eyelash extensions or nail care is a bonus. – Proficiency in using straight razors for precision cutting is desirable. – Willingness to learn and stay updated on the latest trends in hair braiding.
