Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Braider to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in various braiding techniques and a keen eye for style, ensuring that each client leaves feeling beautiful and satisfied. As a Hair Braider, you will be responsible for providing exceptional hair braiding services while also contributing to a positive salon environment.
Duties
Perform a variety of hair braiding styles, ensuring high-quality results tailored to each client’s preferences.
Consult with clients to understand their desired styles and offer professional advice on hair care and maintenance.
Stay updated on the latest trends in hair braiding and styling techniques.
Assist with retail sales of hair care products, providing recommendations based on client needs.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, tools, and equipment.
Provide excellent customer service by creating a welcoming atmosphere for clients.
Mentor junior staff or apprentices in braiding techniques and salon best practices as needed.
Utilize MINDBODY software for scheduling appointments and managing client records.
Qualifications
Proven experience in hair braiding with a strong portfolio showcasing various styles.
Knowledge of color theory and experience with hair extensions is preferred.
Background in customer service with excellent communication skills.
Experience in retail sales is a plus, helping to promote products effectively.
Familiarity with barbering techniques and straight razor use is advantageous.
Ability to manage front desk responsibilities, including appointment scheduling and client interactions.
Experience in nail care is considered an asset but not required.
A passion for mentoring others and sharing knowledge within the team.
