Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Hair Braider to join our team. As a Hair Braider assistant you will be responsible for providing professional hair braiding services to our clients. This is an opportunity to showcase your creativity and talent in a fast-paced salon environment.
Duties:
– Perform various hair braiding techniques including cornrows, french braids, crochet, and other intricate styles
– Cleanse and prepare the client’s hair for braiding by shampooing, conditioning, and detangling
– Section the hair and apply appropriate products to ensure a smooth and long-lasting braid
– Use professional tools such as combs, clips, and hair extensions to achieve desired styles
– Maintain a clean and organized work area, including sanitizing tools and equipment after each use

Experience:
– Previous experience as a Hair Braider or in a similar role
– Proficiency in various hair braiding techniques such as cornrows, box braids, twists, etc.
– Knowledge of color theory and its application in hair braiding
– Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and understand their needs
– Basic understanding of retail math for product recommendations and sales
– Cosmetology license or certification is preferred but not required

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 – $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 32 per week
