We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Braider to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional braiding skills and a strong understanding of hair care techniques. As a Hair Braider, you will be responsible for providing high-quality braiding services to clients while ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere in the salon. Your expertise will help enhance our clients’ beauty and confidence.
Duties
Perform various hair braiding styles, including but not limited to box braids, cornrows, and twists.
Consult with clients to understand their preferences and recommend suitable styles.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and products are sanitized.
Assist with front desk duties, including greeting clients, scheduling appointments, and managing salon software like MINDBODY.
Engage in retail sales by promoting hair care products and upselling services to enhance client experience.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth salon operations and excellent customer service.
Stay updated on the latest trends in hair braiding and related beauty services such as eyelash extensions and nail care.
Utilize knowledge of color theory when advising clients on complementary styles or treatments.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Hair Braider or in a similar role within the beauty industry.
Strong retail sales skills with an ability to upsell services effectively.
Familiarity with salon management software, particularly MINDBODY, is preferred.
Knowledge of straight razor techniques is a plus.
Experience in eyelash extensions and nail care is advantageous but not required.
Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor towards clients.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing individual responsibilities effectively.
