Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and creative Hair Braider to join our team. As a Hair Braider, you will be responsible for providing exceptional hair braiding services to our clients, creating unique and stylish braided hairstyles. You will work in a fast-paced salon environment, collaborating with clients to achieve their desired look while delivering outstanding customer service.
Duties:
– Perform various hair braiding techniques including cornrows, box braids, twists, and other intricate styles.
– Consult with clients to determine their hairstyle preferences and provide recommendations based on their hair type and face shape.
– Maintain a clean and organized work station, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and ready for use.
– Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in hair braiding and styling techniques.
– Upsell salon services such as hair extensions, makeup application, and nail care to enhance the overall client experience.
– Provide exceptional customer service by actively listening to clients’ needs and addressing any concerns they may have.
– Utilize salon software, such as MINDBODY, to schedule appointments, track client preferences, and manage inventory.
– Mentor junior stylists and assist in their professional development.
Qualifications:
– Proven experience as a Hair Braider with a strong portfolio showcasing various braiding styles.
– Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
– Proficiency in hair styling techniques and familiarity with salon products.
– Knowledge of hair extensions, makeup application, and nail care is a plus.
– Prior experience using salon software like MINDBODY is preferred.
– A passion for staying current on industry trends and continuously improving your craft.
