Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Barber/Stylist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in barbering and hair styling techniques, with a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to connect with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
Duties
Provide high-quality haircuts, shaves, and grooming services tailored to individual client preferences.
Perform hair threading and nail care services as needed.
Utilize color theory to offer clients personalized color treatments that enhance their appearance.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and in good condition.
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their desired styles and provide professional recommendations.
Upsell additional services and retail products to enhance the client experience and contribute to salon revenue.
Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in hairstyling, barbering techniques, and industry best practices.
Use MINDBODY software for scheduling appointments, managing client records, and processing transactions efficiently.
Skills
Proficient in barbering techniques including cutting, styling, and shaving.
Strong understanding of hair threading methods.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
Effective communication skills for understanding client needs and providing recommendations.
Knowledge of color theory for effective hair coloring services.
Ability to upsell services and products confidently while maintaining a positive client experience.
Familiarity with retail math for managing sales transactions effectively.
Experience using MINDBODY or similar scheduling software is preferred but not required.
