GENERAL SUMMARY
Provides exceptional customer service for the members and guests at The Spa and Salon while enforcing club rules and policies. Customer Service is performed with enthusiasm and friendliness and a willingness to help others.

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS

Arrive fifteen minutes ahead of your first client to ensure self and job preparedness.
Leave all personal matters outside the club.
Assure personal station is exceptionally clean, prepared and stocked with necessary tools per WA state DOL laws.
All tools must be sanitized and sterilized in accordance with WA state DOL laws.
Check daily and future schedule for any booking errors and relay to the concierge supervisor for corrections.
Graciously greet all guests ensuring they have refreshments and have been offered a cutting robe while escorting them to your station for their service.
Using excellent listening skills in your consultation, determine according to the desires, needs and lifestyle the appropriate plan of action.
After the consultation clearly communicate the plan of action for their service before continuing.
Strive for excellence in all services given.
Throughout appointment, clearly explain all products being used and place them in the
client’s hands whenever possible.
Prepare all color with scales, not only to reduce waste but to ensure exact replication if possible.
When applicable, provide guests with chemical consent form and obtain their signature. Perform patch test and have them reschedule for 24-hours or later when necessary.
Incorporate scalp massage at shampoo bowl.
Show guests how to use products and to style their hair so that they may reproduce the look at home.
Take all products you recommend to the front desk; a prescription pad may accompany as well.
Suggest pre-booking to all clients, advising timing.
Sincerely thank each guest for their visit.
Communicate potential issues or concerns with management in a timely manner.
Work as a team player.
Flexibility with schedule
Leave station show ready at the end of each shift.
Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge in all aspects of salon services and retail products
Knowledge and awareness of fashion industry impacts on salon business & industry
Skill in advanced haircutting and/or chemical services
Skill in the use of retail products for the maximum client benefit
Skill in communication
Skill in organization
Ability to communicate in a positive manner.
Ability to effectively communicate to management problems at hand.
Ability to sell salon and spa services as well as retail.

EXPERIENCE

Hold a current Washington Cosmetology license.
Minimum of one year salon experience must include some form of advanced training.
EDUCATION

Professional certification preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the Associate is continuously standing and grasping with fingers. The Associate is frequently required to walk, twist, reach above shoulders, reach at waist levels and push/pull. The Associate will occasionally climb and sit and will intermittently stoop/bend, squat, kneel, reach below the knees, and lift up to a maximum of twenty-five (25) pounds.
