We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to join our dynamic team. As a Hair Stylist, you will have the opportunity to showcase your creativity and skills while providing exceptional hair services to our clients. You will be responsible for delivering a range of hair treatments, including cuts, colors, and styles, while ensuring a positive and welcoming experience for every customer. Your expertise in color theory and makeup application will enhance the overall service provided, making each client feel confident and beautiful.
Responsibilities
Perform haircuts, coloring, styling, and treatments according to client preferences and current trends.
Utilize knowledge of color theory to create custom color blends that suit individual client needs.
Apply makeup as requested by clients, enhancing their overall look for special occasions or everyday wear.
Maintain accurate client records using salon software such as MINDBODY to track services rendered and product sales.
Assist in retail sales by recommending products that complement the services provided.
Mentor junior stylists or apprentices by sharing techniques and providing guidance on best practices.
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the salon environment, including tools and workstations.
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide personalized consultations.
Requirements
Valid cosmetology license is required; barbering skills are a plus.
Proficient in various hair cutting techniques and styles, including straight razor use.
Strong understanding of color theory and its application in hair coloring services.
Experience with salon software such as MINDBODY is preferred.
Excellent communication skills to build rapport with clients and understand their preferences.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
Previous experience in retail sales within a salon setting is advantageous.
A passion for mentoring others and sharing knowledge within the team.
