Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Barber/Stylist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cosmetology and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barber/Stylist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality haircuts, styles, and grooming services while creating a welcoming atmosphere for clients.
Duties
Provide a range of hair services including cuts, colors, and styling tailored to client preferences.
Sanitate tools and workstations to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and offer professional advice on styles and products.
Upsell retail products and services to enhance the client experience and drive sales.
Mentor junior stylists or apprentices, sharing knowledge and techniques to foster their development.
Utilize MINDBODY or similar software for appointment scheduling and client management.
Maintain an organized workspace, ensuring all supplies are stocked and readily available.
Stay updated on the latest trends in hairstyling and grooming techniques to provide innovative services.
Experience
A valid cosmetology license is required.
Previous experience in a salon or barbershop setting is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
Experience in retail sales, including upselling techniques, is advantageous.
Knowledge of retail math is beneficial for managing product sales effectively.
Familiarity with eyelash extensions is a plus but not required.
