Hairstylist – Be Part of a New Salon Experience at The Mix (Opening Soon in New Brighton)

The Mix is a brand-new multicultural hair salon opening soon in the heart of New Brighton — and we’re putting feelers out to see who’s ready to join our founding team. We’re in the final stages of renovations, but the vision is already real: a bold, inclusive salon space where cuts, color, and community come together.
If you’re a stylist who cares about your craft, thrives in an uplifting environment, and loves working with all hair types and textures — we want to hear from you.
What We’re Building:
The Mix is a vibe. It’s a salon where people of all backgrounds feel seen, welcome, and hyped about their hair. We specialize in color (with a visible color mixing bar!), serve diverse textures, and center community. This is not a cookie-cutter space — it’s creative, collaborative, and inclusive.
Who We’re Looking For:
Licensed stylists with a passion for creativity and great client care
Comfortable working with all hair textures (or willing to grow in that area)
Open-minded, team-oriented, and positive-energy people
Stylists who vibe with professionalism and personality
Someone who believes the experience is just as important as the end result
Compensation:
Commission-based pay, starting at 50/50
Growth to 55/45 and 60/40 available based on performance and sales
Opportunities for retail commission and service bonuses
Flexible scheduling and opportunity to grow with the brand
The Reality (for now):
We’re still in our renovation stage, so interviews will be virtual or in-person meetups off-site. There’s no salon floor to show yet — but the vision is locked in And almost complete.
