Overview
We are seeking an experienced and creative Senior Hair Stylist to join our salon team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cutting, coloring, and styling hair, with excellent customer service skills and a passion for the beauty industry. As a senior member of the team, you will also provide guidance and mentorship to junior stylists and contribute to the overall success of the salon.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform a wide range of hair services, including cutting, coloring, styling, chemical treatments, and extensions
Consult with clients to understand their needs and provide expert advice on hairstyles and hair care
Stay current with industry trends, techniques, and new products
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and common salon areas
Build and maintain a loyal client base through exceptional service
Train, mentor, and support junior stylists and apprentices
Promote and upsell salon services and retail products
Ensure adherence to health and safety standards
Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve salon operations
Requirements:
Proven experience as a professional Hair Stylist (5+ years preferred)
Valid cosmetology license
Strong knowledge of hair care products, tools, and techniques
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Leadership or mentorship experience is a plus
Passion for continued learning and professional development
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with high-end salon clientele
Portfolio showcasing previous work
Certification in advanced coloring or hair treatment techniques
Knowledge of salon management software
