Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Salon Team Member specializing in Natural/Textured hair, specifically in locs/dreadlocs, to provide exceptional beauty services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in loc maintenance, loc repairs, loc styling, customer service, and team engagement. As a Salon Team Member, you have the ability to begin as a Salon Assistant and advance your career up to a Master Lok Stylist. You will be responsible for ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for clients while providing exceptional hair services. Your expertise in loc maintenance, hair extensions, cosmetology, and special occasion styling will help elevate our service offerings and enhance customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
Provide a range of hair services including loc maintenance, loc repairs, loc styling, and loc extensions to meet client needs.
Consult with clients to understand their preferences and recommend suitable styles and treatments.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized.
Assist with front desk duties such as scheduling appointments and managing client check-ins using Square Appointments software.
Engage in retail sales by recommending products that enhance clients’ hair care routines.
Upsell additional services to clients to maximize their experience and satisfaction.
Mentor junior stylists or interns by sharing knowledge and best practices in loc styling techniques.
Stay updated on the latest trends in loc fashion and techniques to provide clients with contemporary styles.
Skills
Proven experience in natural hair and loc/dreadlocs styling with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and understand their needs.
Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build lasting relationships with clients.
Experience in retail sales, particularly in beauty or salon products, is preferred.
Proficiency in using locking hook tools and crochet needles is a plus.
Ability to upsell services while maintaining a focus on client satisfaction.
Knowledge of natural/textured hair principles and practices is essential.
