We are seeking talented and passionate Hairstylist/Colorist expert to join our dynamic team. Your role will be all about transforming your clients look with precision, haircuts, hair coloring, expert styling and personalized hair care.. You will be responsible for creating beautiful hairstyles while also engaging with clients to ensure their needs are met. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. For new stylists entering the industry we provide a personal internship with our Master Stylist to elevate a stylists skill level in hair cutting, hair coloring, styling, product knowledge and soft skills for career growth.
A new stylist can be behind the chair in as little as 12 weeks.
-For Experienced Stylists ( 2 or more years) you are able to be behind the chair right away.
-We will require models and test outs to ensure your skill level and will determine your first 6 month custom goals.
The Position:
We are looking for a positive, empathetic, outgoing, friendly & skilled team player to add to our salon family. A current cosmetology license is required and at least 1-2 years experience is preferred. We are both hourly and commission based, so the earning potential is there for those willing to grow their skills and expand on their training. Our appointment books fill up quickly, so we need a stylist who is ready to be busy and is aware of their specific service timing.
Key Responsibilities
A thorough consultation with the client before going forward with any service
Provide high-quality hair styling services, including cuts, colors, and treatments tailored to client preferences.
Provide expert advice on healthcare, product recommendations and styling tips.
Stay up-to-date with the latest haircutting techniques and hair, color trends to offer modern on trend styles.
Build and maintain strong relationship with clients to encourage repeat business.
Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and client safety in the salon.
Participate in ongoing education and training to continue perfecting your craft.
Being on-time, reliable and a good communicator is a must.
If you are planning to take a day off it’s advisable to inform in advance so that appointments can be rescheduled in a timely fashion.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a stylist hair, colorist hairdresser with expertise in haircutting and hair coloring.
Valid IL cosmetology license as required by state regulation
Upsell products and services to enhance the client experience and meet sales goals.
Strong communication skills with an ability to listen to clients and understand their style goals.
Knowledge of current trends in Haircut and styles.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast pace environment while delivering high-quality results.
A friendly approachable personality with a commitment to making clients feel great.
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide personalized recommendations.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
Preferred qualification:
Experience with advanced hair coloring and haircutting techniques.
Location:
Charizma Salon and spa has 1 location located conveniently off Route 59 in Naperville. We have good street visibility and are easy to find.
Products used in salon:
Our salon uses Goldwell and Redken color line. As far as back bar and retail, we use a variety of lines we love, such as: Moroccanoil, Amika, Matrix, Big sexy hair and Olaplex. We are blessed with an outstanding community & the most amazing clientele who are loyal, friendly and have become our extended salon family!
