Responsibilities
Provide professional hair styling services including cutting, coloring, and treatments tailored to individual client needs.
Stay updated on the latest trends in hair care and styling techniques to offer clients innovative solutions.
Perform specialized services such as eyelash extensions, hair extensions, and hair threading as requested by clients.
Utilize salon software like MINDBODY for appointment scheduling and client management.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to health and safety regulations.
Build strong relationships with clients through excellent customer service and effective communication.
Assist in retail sales by promoting hair care products that align with clients’ needs.
Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive salon environment and enhance overall service delivery.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Hair Stylist or similar role in a salon setting.
Strong understanding of retail math to assist with inventory management and sales tracking.
Knowledge of color theory to provide clients with informed choices regarding hair coloring services.
Familiarity with salon software systems, particularly MINDBODY, is preferred but not required.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
Skills in barbering or store management are advantageous but not mandatory.
A valid cosmetology license is required; additional certifications in specialized services (e.g., eyelash extensions) are a plus.
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed.
