Salon Assistant
Job Description
Je T’aime Coiffure at Galleria is looking for its next salon assistant to join our salon family. Candidates must be friendly, RELIABLE, flexible and a team player. We are a fast paced L’oreal Professional Salon in Red Bank, NJ. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: setting up stylist stations for clients, shampooing, and maintaining general cleanliness of the salon. Ultimately you will help keep the salon moving smoothly, and assist the stylists in making sure the clients have the best experience possible.
We provide a 40 week education training course to get our assistants on the floor as a Level 1 Stylist within 9 months. Additionally there will be plenty of other educational opportunities to expand your skillset. In summary, if you have your cosmetology license and are looking to work full time as a stylist, we will work to train you during your time as an assistant with the goal of having you be on the floor within 9 months.
Responsibilities
● Setting clients up (draping clients, getting the stylist what they need for the service, etc.)
● Sweeping
● Laundry
● Maintaining kitchen cleanliness
● Stocking shelves
● General Cleaning (wiping down surfaces, picking up anything out of place, cleaning up messes, etc.)
● Assisting stylist with their services
● Making sure the clients are comfortable
● Shampooing
Skills
● Proven experience as a salon Assistant
● Familiarity with salon services
● Ability to keep up with a fast paced environment
● Organizational skills
● Time management skills
● Excellent communication skills
