Job Overview Booth Rent at Kenilworth Knoll unit 8, Akari Salon Asheville. Full time 250$ per week, part time 175$ per week. Amenities include : individual styling stations, ample storage space, provided towels and capes, washer and dryer , dishwasher , complimentary client beverage/ snack bar, access 7 days per week, provided luxury backbar shampoo/ conditioner and styling products, optional booking software available, salon phone, Business and Social Media mentorship, stylists to be included in salon’s marketing. We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to join our dynamic team. As a Hair Stylist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional hair care services to our clients while ensuring a welcoming and professional environment. You will utilize your creativity and technical skills to deliver a variety of hair services, including cutting, coloring, and styling. Your role will also involve engaging with clients to understand their needs and preferences, promoting retail products, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Bullying or toxic behaviors will not be tolerated!
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality hair cutting, coloring, and styling services tailored to client preferences.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, tools, and equipment in compliance with health regulations.
Engage with clients to assess their hair care needs and recommend appropriate services or products.
Utilize Phorest software for scheduling appointments and managing client records effectively.
Promote retail sales by upselling products that enhance clients’ hair care routines.
Assist at the front desk as needed, including greeting clients, answering inquiries, and processing transactions.
Stay updated on the latest trends in hair styling techniques, products, and tools.
Collaborate with team members to create a positive salon atmosphere that encourages customer loyalty.
Qualifications
Valid cosmetology or barbering license as required by state regulations.
Experience in hair styling with proficiency in various techniques such as cutting, coloring, and chemical treatments.
Knowledge of nail care services and eyelash extensions is a plus.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
Familiarity with retail math to effectively manage product sales and inventory.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality service.
