Employment position is part time.
Work-life balance with no weekends or late evenings required.
Fixed Schedule is Tues, Wed, Thur & Fri 9:45 am – 4:45 pm.
Appointments supported by scheduling concierge service.
Generous pay: 45% commission or hourly whichever is greater per pay period plus all tips.
Competitive industry pricing, so commission is not difficult to achieve.
Shampoo/Blow Out pricing is$45 and Haircut /Style package is $85.
A wonderfully unique and upscale salon management company has immediate openings for licensed, seasoned salon professionals to work at our salon in Raleigh. Basic Requirements
Ability to fully pass criminal background check and drug test screenings
Ability to operate a computer scheduling system and register, email & text.
100% consistent transportation
Rare need to adjust schedule or call out. This is not a flexible schedule.
Exceptional Work Ethic – ability to work the full schedule every day regardless of scheduled service volume. Must be able to work the full schedule for potential walk ins and transport residents when needed.

Desire to hold a part-time position for 2 years minimum – this is not temporary contract work to pick up between other jobs.
Experience or familiarity working with seniors and the ability to adjust communication style for those with varying cognitive abilities.
Specific Requirements
Position requires employee to be highly organized and able to prioritize both fast and slow-paced workflow. Fast paced workflow requires strong attn to detail, mental stamina and and muti-tasking abilities. Slow paced workflow requires ability to shift focus to tasks for organizing and preparing supplies and tidying the salon and spa space and updating the salon schedule.
Educational requirements are completion of High School or equivalent, Graduation from a Cosmetology School and some college or two years of combined experience of post secondary education and work in healthcare or senior living.
Must have experience or willingness to work in a luxury service environments. This will require appropriate business clothing attire – no denim, sweatpants or scrubs.
Must be able to work well with aides and families and our company managers
Requires the right FRIENDLY, CALM and WARM personality that can quickly sense and shift communication and work style between customers with varying cognitive abilities.
Must be able to tease hair for volume that appears smooth in the finishing steps.
Must create traditional set styles with curlers and curling iron that could last an entire week
Experience with roller sets, perms, relaxers, color formulations; both traditional bouffant sets (with mousse& spray) and modern natural finishing styles as well as precision short style hair cutting.
Must perform successful consultations and adjust communication style to the client, community staff and family members
Must also perform occasional basic nail services when needed – manicures and pedicure with regular polish and gel polish services. Training provided, no tips or artificial nail services needed.
Must be efficient and experienced with service timing (30-minute shampoo & finishing styles). Taking an hour for a trim and blow dry & curling iron style would not be possible, so experience with service efficiency and good time organization is needed.
Must be able to effectively communicate and give direction to others, handle client relations and events, multi-task and preplan.
Must be proficient in written, email and fax communications with daily text capability and availability to communicate with managers during business and occasional non-business hours. Employees are required to be very comfortable texting and emailing from personal cell phone with our corporate team M-F, 9am to 5pm
Participation in company functions and certification training will be required.
Position involves client relationship building, organization, salon account mngmt and self promotion.
Openness to helping and substituting with co-workers to cover for vacations and preplanned time off.
