Job Duties

  • Some of the following duties may not apply to Stylist‑in‑Training positions.
  • Provide quality services by consulting with clients and applying appropriate service techniques.
  • Recommend and participate in approved local marketing initiatives, including coupon campaigns and seasonal events.
  • Educate clients on proper home hair care and recommend products to maintain hairstyles between visits.
  • Employ best practices for customer service, ensuring client satisfaction and building loyalty.
  • Provide quality consultations, including stating the final price before the service begins.
  • Complete administrative tasks promptly, such as closing tickets on the POS system and scheduling appointments.
  • Communicate effectively and positively with clients, team members, leaders, and corporate support.
  • Meet or exceed productivity standards set by Regis.
  • Be willing and able to perform all services offered at the salon.
  • Maintain flexibility in shifts to fit business needs, including night and weekend shifts.
  • Attend all required technical training sessions.
  • Follow Regis policies and salon‑specific operational procedures (bank deposits, salon cleaning/maintenance, disinfecting styling implements).

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)

  • Market yourself within the community and salon to grow your clientele.
  • Possess exceptional communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Exhibit consistent, excellent customer service skills.
  • Multi‑task efficiently to complete salon duties.
  • Show willingness to learn new techniques and stay current with hair trends.
  • Physical requirements may include bending, sitting, twisting, turning, lifting (generally 10–15 pounds), and standing for extended periods.

Experience

  • Stylist‑in‑Training – Graduated 90 days or less from cosmetology school.
  • Stylist – Possession of a valid, current cosmetology or barber’s license.

Education

  • Maintain a valid cosmetology or barber’s license (or within 90 days of graduating).
  • All Stylists/Stylists‑in‑Training are required to complete assigned training as determined by Regis.
  • All Supercuts Stylists/Stylists‑in‑Training must participate in the Hair Stylist Academy (HSA) program and receive a certificate of completion.

Work Location – Onsite at Salon Location.
