Job description:
Full-Time & Part-Time Barbershop Host & Cashier.
Ensure an excellent level of customer service as a priority at all times by executing and providing a great Customer Experience.
Answering incoming calls to efficiently assist customers with scheduling services or cancelations in a professional manner.
Providing patrons with accurate wait times, appointment reminders and appointment requirements.
Time management on services for improved efficiency.
Observing the shop and noting occupied, dirty, or clean barber stations.
Maintain visibility and lead by example on the selling floor to answer customer questions and support all functions of the barber shop.
Implement all visual merchandising standards, directives, promotions, and overall cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and barbershop.
Meet or exceed profitability expectations for the store in sales, shrink and conversion.
Control company assets by meeting all loss prevention measures including but not limited to, money handling, inventory reconciliation, equipment management, etc.
Identify and resolve operational obstacles.
Maintains a professional appearance and adheres to the Company’s dress code at all times.
Effective problem solving and communication with customers and team members.
Recruitment of barbers and staff members by directing potential hires to urbancitybarbershop.com.
Charge services and products through online booking/POS system.
Maintaining inventory, receiving and checking shipped goods, and restocking shelves.
Educating customers on recommended routines and products including: Hair, Products, Beard Products, Shaving Products & Tools, Hair Clippers, Trimmers & Shavers and Apparel.
Specialists Training – We provide – Customer Service Training, Hair Thinning Certification, Beard & Hair Maintenance Education.
Expectations and Goals:
Demonstrate ability to genuinely interact with customers to show passion, knowledge, dedication, and commitment to their style
Ability to meet State requirements for cleansing and disinfecting all areas of barbershop to include stations, shampoo room, breakroom and restroom.
Track record of success in achieving sales/credit goals, customer service, visual merchandising/marketing.
Promote company programs including sales, Loyalty Program, and other seasonal promotions
All Teammates are required to adhere to all safety policies and procedures. Additionally, as business needs arise, other tasks may become necessary.
Success Profile:
Flexible availability – including evenings, weekends, and certain holidays.
1-2 years of Retail Cashier, Retails Sales or cash-handling experience preferred, but not required
Passion for Men’s Grooming to include Hair Styles, Beards and the use of styling products.
Job Requirements:
High school education or equivalent.
Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, push, pull, and lift cartons/bins weighing approximately 10-50 pounds each.
Good communication skills.
Able to walk or stand for long periods.
Must be flexible and able to work weekends
Must have cash handling/register experience.
Bilingual is a plus**
