Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to join our dynamic team. As a Hair Stylist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional hair care services to our clients while creating a welcoming and enjoyable salon experience. Your expertise in cosmetology and customer service will help you build lasting relationships with clients and ensure their satisfaction with every visit.
Duties
Provide a variety of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and treatments tailored to individual client needs.
Utilize knowledge of color theory to achieve desired results for clients’ hair color.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tools and workstations in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Assist clients with nail care services as needed, ensuring a comprehensive beauty experience.
Utilize salon software, such as MINDBODY, for appointment scheduling, client management, and retail transactions.
Educate clients on proper hair care techniques and recommend suitable products for their needs.
Mentor junior stylists or interns by sharing knowledge and best practices in hairstyling techniques.
Stay updated on the latest trends in hairstyling and beauty treatments to provide informed recommendations.
Qualifications
Valid cosmetology license is required.
Proven experience in customer service with strong interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with salon software systems; experience with MINDBODY is a plus.
Knowledge of retail math to assist in product sales effectively.
Proficient in using straight razors and other hairstyling tools safely and effectively.
Experience in nail care services is desirable but not mandatory.
Strong understanding of sanitation practices within the salon environment.
Ability to mentor others and foster a collaborative team atmosphere.
