As a Hair Stylist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality hair services to clients while ensuring a welcoming and sanitary environment.
Responsibilities
Perform hair styling, cutting, coloring, and treatments according to client preferences and current trends.
Sanitate tools and workstations to maintain a clean and safe salon environment.
Provide nail care services as needed, including manicures.
Utilize hair threading techniques for clients seeking precise hair removal.
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and offer professional advice on hair care.
Maintain knowledge of color theory to achieve desired results in hair coloring services.
Use salon software, such as MINDBODY, for scheduling appointments and managing client records.
Assist in retail sales by promoting hair care products that align with client needs.
Stay updated on industry trends and participate in ongoing education to enhance skills.
Experience
Previous experience in hair styling or barbering is preferred but not required for entry-level positions.
Familiarity with salon software systems is a plus.
Strong communication skills are essential for building rapport with clients and understanding their requests.
Knowledge of retail math is beneficial for managing product sales effectively.
