Duties
Assist stylists with various tasks, including shampooing, conditioning, and styling hair.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the salon, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and ready for use.
Manage front desk operations, including greeting clients, scheduling appointments, and handling retail sales.
Support the team with inventory management and product restocking.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and ensuring a positive salon experience.
Stay updated on current trends in hair care, color theory, and beauty products to assist clients effectively.
Utilize salon software such as boulevard for appointment scheduling and client management.
Mentor junior staff members or interns by sharing knowledge and best practices.
Experience
Previous experience in a salon environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for the beauty industry is essential.
Familiarity with cosmetology practices, including straight razor techniques and eyelash extensions, is a plus.
Basic understanding of retail math and retail sales strategies to assist with product recommendations.
Proficiency in using salon software systems to enhance operational efficiency.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members alike.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 – $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
