We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cosmetology and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Hair Stylist, you will have the opportunity to showcase your creativity and skills while helping clients achieve their desired looks. This role requires proficiency in various hair styling techniques, as well as the ability to mentor junior stylists and provide guidance on best practices.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality hair styling services, including cuts, colors, and treatments tailored to individual client needs.
Utilize straight razor techniques for precision cuts and styles.
Apply eyelash extensions and makeup application services as requested by clients.
Mentor junior stylists by sharing knowledge and techniques to enhance their skills.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and in good condition.
Engage with clients to understand their preferences and provide personalized recommendations.
Assist clients with retail product selections, utilizing retail math skills to manage inventory effectively.
Utilize MINDBODY software for scheduling appointments, managing client records, and processing payments.
Requirements
Valid cosmetology license in accordance with state regulations.
Proven experience in hair styling, including expertise in hair extensions and various cutting techniques.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
Familiarity with MINDBODY or similar salon management software is a plus.
A passion for the beauty industry and staying updated on current trends and techniques.
