Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to join our award winning salon. Voted Best of Fort Lauderdale 2023 and 2024.
You will be responsible for providing a range of hair styling, cutting, and coloring services while ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere in the salon. We specialize in blondes and lived in color but we service a clientele of all ages.
Sliding Scale Commission structure starting at 46% with incentives to grow up to 50%.
Flexible scheduling and time off.
Duties
Perform hair cutting, styling, and coloring services tailored to client preferences.
Provide additional beauty services such as eyelash extensions, nail care, makeup application, and hair threading.
Utilize salon software and MINDBODY for scheduling appointments and managing client records.
Maintain knowledge of color theory to achieve desired results in hair coloring.
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide expert recommendations.
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the salon workspace, tools, and equipment.
Stay updated on the latest trends in hairstyling and beauty techniques through continuous education.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Hair Stylist with a valid cosmetology license.
Proficiency in various hairstyling techniques, including advanced color applications.
Familiarity with salon software systems such as Mangomint or vagaro
Strong communication skills to build rapport with clients and understand their needs.
Knowledge of beauty trends, products, techniques and color theory.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
A positive attitude with a passion for the beauty industry and commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
