About CULT
CULT was opened in 2016 then moved to the Royale in 2024. We offer a variety of hair services, as well as skin and waxing services. We operate with 8 styling chairs and a private room for an esthetician.
CULT is now located in the new Royale complex offering an eclectic mix of food, drinks, coffee, flowers, gift shop, photography, medical, and interior design.
We’re looking for a full-time hairstylist to join this creative atmosphere. Having a strong clientele is preferred, but walk-in opportunities are available, too.
As an independent contractor, chair rental is $300 per week with the flexibility to create a schedule to fit your lifestyle. As an incentive, your first 2 weeks will be complimentary.
Service prices are not set, but keeping prices in-line with other stylists is preferred.
We use Vagaro as our booking system as there is currently not a full-time receptionist.
Currently we sell hair products from Kevin Murphy, and you can earn 10% commission on product sales.
We also offer free education with Kevin Murphy products and styling trends.

Job Summary

As a Hair Stylist, you will be responsible for creating stylish looks, providing consultations, and ensuring client satisfaction through your expertise in hair care and beauty services.
Duties
Provide a range of hair styling services, including cuts, colors, and treatments tailored to client preferences.
Utilize salon software for scheduling your appointments, managing client records, and processing transactions.
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and offer professional advice on hair care products and services.
Upsell salon products and services to enhance the client experience and increase sales.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the salon environment to ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
Stay updated on the latest trends in hair styling, barbering techniques, and beauty treatments.
Collaborate with team members to promote a positive work environment.
Qualifications
Valid cosmetology or barbering license is required.
Proven experience in hair styling, with a portfolio showcasing your work, as well as a working interview.
Familiarity with salon software systems is preferred, training will be provided.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
Ability to upsell products and services while providing excellent customer service.
Knowledge of hair extensions techniques is a plus.
Experience in makeup application or other beauty services are desirable but not mandatory.
A passion for the beauty industry and commitment to continuous learning.
