Job Description
Full service hair stylist needed to work with a great group of stylists in an established hair salon with a strong clientele base in Odessa . We are looking for a hair stylist(s) that is able to work 35 to 40 hours/week full-time and up to 25 to 30 hours/week part-time to join our team that can perform the following:
General Accountabilities
Washes, shampoos, conditions and rinses hair
Evaluate clients’ hair and physical characteristics to recommend appropriate hair style
Cuts, trims, and styles hair using professional equipment (clippers, scissors, trimmers and razors)
Highlights or colors hair based on instructions provided by client
Maintains clean work station
Sanitizes tools and equipment, such as scissors and combs, after each use
Answers phone and schedules client appointments
Receives payments from customers
Actively seeks to learn new styles and techniques
Stylist Skills
Work experience as a hair stylist, colorist and hairdresser
Knowledge of a wide range of haircuts suitable for all hair lengths, genders and ages
Hands-on experience with various coloring techniques
Familiar with hair treatment products
Excellent verbal and written communication
Service orientation
Time management
Active listening
Job Qualifications
Education: Successful completion of cosmetology curriculum.
Experience: 2-3 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licenses/Certifications: Appropriate certification required.
Salon Requirements
Salon is open Monday to Saturday- closed Sunday
