Job Overview
We are seeking talented and passionate Hair Stylists to join our dynamic team in our new salon. In this role, you will provide exceptional hair care services to our clients while creating a welcoming and luxury salon experience. You will utilize your expertise in various techniques and products to enhance the beauty and confidence of each client. The ideal candidate will assist Hairstylists on the floor while being mentored to eventually be on the floor themselves. Assistants will be expected to answer phones, book and checkout appointments. They will be in charge of the Salon running smoothly, helping the team as best they can from clean up to shampooing. We want Assistants on the floor as quick as possible to be confident in their craft and start building their own clientele. Assistants, as well as the entire The Avenue Salon staff will attend monlthy in salon classes to further education and to stay on top of the newest trends.
Responsibilities
Provide a range of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and treatments tailored to client preferences.
Answering client phone calls, booking and checking out clients at the front desk.
Maintain knowledge of color theory to recommend appropriate color choices for clients.
Upsell products and services to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue.
Be mentored by Master Stylists.
Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Build strong relationships with clients through exceptional customer service.
Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and product innovations.
Attend monthly in salon education classes that focus on new trends, industry refreshers, color theory, suitability, consultations and advanced cutting/coloring techniques.
Qualifications
Valid cosmetology license or certification from an accredited institution.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
Strong understanding of color theory and its application in hair services.

Pay: $18.00 – $40.00 per hour
