Overview
This is a commission, and self-employment-based position. We are seeking a talented and creative Hair Braider to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hair styling and a strong understanding of various braiding techniques. As a Hair Braider, you will provide exceptional service to clients while showcasing your skills in hair braiding and styling. This role requires excellent customer service abilities, as well as knowledge of salon operations.
Responsibilities
Perform a variety of hair braiding styles and techniques to meet client preferences.
Consult with clients to understand their desired styles and provide expert recommendations.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and products are sanitized.
Assist with front desk duties, including scheduling appointments and managing client inquiries.
Utilize salon software for appointment management and client records.
Promote retail products and services, effectively upselling to enhance the client experience.
Stay updated on current trends in hair styling, braiding techniques, and color theory.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth salon operations and excellent customer service.
Requirements
Proven experience in hair styling, specifically in braiding techniques.
Familiarity with salon software for appointment scheduling and client management.
Strong retail sales skills with an ability to upsell products effectively.
Knowledge of color theory and hair extensions is a plus.
Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor towards clients.
Ability to manage time efficiently while providing high-quality services.
Previous experience in store management or front desk operations is advantageous.

Pay: $21.13 – $25.44 per hour
