Hair Stylist-Barber Jobs in Rocklin, CA at Cookie Cutters Haircuts for Kids
We are looking to IMMEDIATELY hire a cosmetologist/ hair stylist / barber for Weekday and Weekend shifts at our Rockville Centre, NY location. If you want to be paid well, work with a fun and encouraging team, love kids and want opportunities for growth, then we want to talk to you.
What we expect our hair stylists and barbers to bring to the table:
– A positive, collaborative attitude. We do not tolerate any negativity or drama in our salon.
-A good track record of success at other salons. Prior experience in kids salons is a bonus, but not required.
– Expertise with scissors, clippers and trimmers, with prior experience and training in using both to cut hair.
– Expertise in a wide variety of styles and cuts, including braids, fades, zero-fades, etc.
– The desire to build long relationships with customers, both parents and kids and to get to understand their needs and be able to advise on cuts and styles.
– Being comfortable recommending products for purchase that would benefit our lil client’s hair. We have large incentives on product sales in our salon, and our most trusted hair stylists make more money via bonuses.
– A good sense of cleanliness and hygiene, both personal and for the salon. We work hard to maintain the attractiveness of our salon, and we expect all hair stylists / barbers to pitch in towards cleanliness and upkeep.
– A good understanding on how to use the point of sale system and a strong desire to learn. Don’t worry, training is provided!

Currently, our base pay starts at $19/hour and our hair stylist / barber tips averages between $8 – $10 per hair cut. Our hair stylists / barbers also earns paid time off, product sale compensation as well as monthly and annual performance bonuses.
