Wapas Salon & Spa is a full-service beauty business with a comfortable and friendly atmosphere at Downtown Hollywood Florida. We are looking for a licensed and passionate hair Stylist who has experience, exceptional customer-service oriented and work with clients to ensure they become return customers, a team player, and willing to develop their career in a salon with an exponential growth. Must be knowledgeable in hair coloring, haircutting (all hair types), blow dry’s, and more.
We have wonderful and loyal clientele who live around the area and expect friendliness, good service, and good listeners.
Responsibilities
Welcome customers and identify their preferences by asking pointed questions.
Shampoo, cut, dye, highlights and style hair. Apply chemicals to change texture of hair.
Work with trimmers and other implements to achieve desired looks.
Give clients advice on how to maintain a hairstyle or look.
Order and maintain supplies for hair styling and coloring.
Hair Stylists also need a wide range of skills unique to the trade, such as:
1) Knowledge of hairstyles and trends, and the expertise to achieve these looks.
2) Knowledge of chemicals for hairstyles including coloring agents and solutions that change hair texture.
3) A willingness to learn about new styles and techniques.
4) The ability to communicate with customers and understand their needs.
5) Knowledge of related health, safety and cleanliness standards.
6) Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Pay: $40,000.00 – $72,000.00 per year (DEMONSTRABLE EARINGS BASED ON CURRENT EMPLOYEES).
